For a long time now we get many orders from 800 national flower companies that we call order gatherers. These are companies that either have a huge national advertising budget or have full page ads in the local phone book. We have found that most of the time the person ordering the flowers is often from Tulsa and delivering to a recipient that is also in Tulsa. Very often there ads seem as if they are a local company, so when you order be sure you know who you are dealing with.

When a order is placed with one of these 800 companies they often hide the fact that you will be paying a huge service fee for placing an order with them. For instance a $50.00 arrangement placed with them you will pay a $11 or $12 service fee, plus tax which will come close to $70.00. After they get your money they will send the order back to Tulsa to a local florist because they don't do flowers they just collect money. A local florist then receives a discounted order that they have to account for the delivery fee. In essence a $42.00 order for flowers and $8.00 for delivery and many wonder why they didn't get there full value.
